Last week I was fortunate enough to attend the Flormar Launch in the decadent surroundings of Residence on Stephens Green. It was great to meet and catch up with some fellow Irish artists and to get to play around with some of these new products! There was also an amazing demo using Flormar by the absolute genius that is Leonard Daly, I learned so much from him in just that half hour demo! Flormar is a budget friendly brand coming soon to pharmacies near you, and I must say for the price point all of the products perform very well!
First up is the bronzer. The first thing I noticed about it is that it's HUGE. As in the size of my whole face huge. This is a bonus in the sense that you obviously get a ton of product, but a slight drawback for me because it would take up a huge amount of space in my kit. It's a lovely light brown with the most subtle hint of gold shimmer. The shimmer is very fine too, which is greta because I hate bronzers with huge chunky flakes of glitter in them. This is a great colour for bringing a bit of warmth back to your face, but where I can see this product really shining is over the shoulders and chest to give a really sunkissed glow. To me this is far too warm to ever contour with but there are other shades available that would definitely be more suited to that. The pigmentation is also great and it stayed put very well without a primer, again adding to my theory that this would be great as a body bronzer! (€9.95)
Next up is the eye palette, at only €9.95 this is an absolute STEAL. To be totally honest, I wasn't expecting much from these as in my opinion cheaper eyeshadows rarely deliver. These however, are super soft and buttery and blend like a dream. The browns are cool toned and would definitely suit nearly every complexion. I'ma big fan of the second almost grey colour, I think it's perfect for every day! These were a standout from me, big thumbs up!
Next up is the illuminating primer (€9.95). This was lovvely and moisturising and did add a lovely luminous glow to the skin. I don't usually wear a primer under my makeup, but I'd be very inclined to wear this if I was going barefaced as the reflective particles have a lovely diffusing effect that definitely makes your skin look smoother and more even. As for keeping your makeup on longer, I can't say I noticed a huge difference, but it definitely didn't slide off my face after a few hours as I find a lot of primers tend to do on my combination skin. This primer also sinks into the skin rather than sits on top which is definitely a quality I look for!
Next up is the BB Cream Powder. Now I didn't try this out because I can see by looking at it that it's wayyyyyy too dark for me (the palest girl in Ireland), but Leonard absolutely raved about this at the press evening so that's good enough for me! This has Algae extract which is great for firming the skin and it's also a very moisturising formula - a great alternative to heavy foundation in the hot weather! It also has SPF 30 which is a great bonus! (€11.95)
Next we have the Revolution Perfect lipstick in "Provocative Orange". I have a newly found soft spot for orange lipstick so I was totally pumped that they gave me this colour. This is a lovely creamy lipstick, and while it's notmy favourite formula it is certainly worth the money (€6.95) and is definitely better than most lipsticks in the budget range. Plus how cute is the packaging??
Last but not least is the Long Wearing Lipstick in "Backstage". Photos cannot even get close to how MENTAL this colour is! It's very pretty but not something I'd be confident wearing, so I decided not to swatch it and instead hang on to it for a giveaway! It promises to provide "a creamy 3D effect that ensures soft and fulsome lips wih high shine colour. It does seem very opaque so it's definitely something you could wear without a lipstick underneath! And again, for the price point on this you can't go far wrong. (€5.95)
