Well well well, it has been absolutely AGES! I was mega busy with my new job over the Christmas holidays, and now that things have just about settled back to normal it's definitely time to dive back into some blogging!
I was fortunate enough to work with Sleek on an event last week and they very generously gifted me some products as a thank you. I am BLOWN away by the outstanding quality of these products so I couldn't wait to share some swatches with you all! I'm not going to bore you to death with loads of text on this one because I have a lot of photos of the products, so I'll go right ahead and get started!
First up is the gorgeous Gold Standard 089 palette from the 24K Gold Collection. This unusual combo of creams and shimmer shadows means it's a super handy one for a dramatic gold smoker. The deepest shade has a hint of burgundy to it which is a nice touch for a mostly gold oriented palette.
Next up is the Arabian Nights palette. This is absolutely my favourite of all the Sleek eyeshadows I've ever tried. These are crazy pigmented and soft, and the colours are really nice and vibrant.
Next up is the Storm 578 palette. This is a great deep and dark palette for the perfect colourful smokey eye. There's a few neutrals thrown in as well which is great because it means you'll be able to complete your entire look from this one palette.
And now swiftly on to the last of the iDivine palettes that I received : the Au Naturel 601. There's no other way to describe this than extremely handy. The great mix of light and dark neutrals, shimmers and mattes means that no matter what the occasion, this palette has you covered.
Now on to the next section! Anyone who knows me knows that I am juuuust a little in love with Sleek's blush by 3 palettes. And by just a little in love, I mean totally obsessed. This is Californ.I.A., a cream blush by 3 that includes one shimmer (Newport Peach) and two matte shades (The Surf and OC). These are super creamy and easy to blend. I'm very impresed with the quality of these, they're fab over a light foundation and absolutely perfect on their own too!
Something that I had neer tried out from Sleek is the Face Form palettes, so I was super excited to get ahold of two of them! First I have the Light 373 palette. This has a gorgeous highlight shade, a great matte bronzer to contour and a pink blush with gold reflects which I really love. This is my favourite colour for blush in general, I always think a hint of gold is really soft and flattering on nearly everyone, so I'm sure I'll be getting a lot of use out of this one!
I also got the Medium 374 Face Form palette. This one is significantly darker and would suit a much deeper skintone than my own! To me, the blush shade in this one is more of a shimmery bronzer and could see myself using it for an all over glow rather than a blush.
Next up is the Highlighting Palette in Solstice. JUST LOOK AT THIS!!! HOW AMAZING IS IT???? I am FAR too happy to have this in my collection, apparently it sold out very quickly when it was released around Christmas and was impossible to get , so I am delighted to have it now! How gorgeous is the packaging? and just LOOK at those swatches, they are crazy crazy pigmented.
Not only did I get Solstice, I got Midas Touch as well!! This looks a bit mad because of the blue shade, but it is absolutely stunning as an inner corner highlight , and don't even get me started on that pink shade! Swooning for it.
Next up is two new shades of the twist up eye pencils. These are nice and soft and pretty pigmented but not outstanding, I'd definitley grab a few of these but probably would go for something of higher quality for my basic shades . Below pictured are Camouflage 896 and Royal 897.
Next up is the twist up lip pencils! These have a great shade range and a nice sharp point to get that nice crisp line, and they are really pigmented. The only thing I'm not mad about is the staying power, which I wish was just a little better as I really like all of the colours. Swatches from left to right : Macaron 899, Nude 995, Spiced Orange 998, Raspberry 999 and Sugared Apple 996.
I also got my hands on two of the Luminaire concealers in 01 and 02. These are lovely and creamy and opaque, and the packaging means they're really easy to use. However I have a bit of a problem with the shades. They're both significantly darker than my skin tone and so won't be much use as a concealer or highlighter. They'd be great for someone a bit darker, which is 99% of the population seeing as I'm the palest girl in the world.
Finally, I have two of the twist up eyebrow pencils. These are a little warm toned for me to be totally in love, they're also not pigmented enough so you have to lean quite hard. Not mad about these at all, although taking into account the price point they are very reasonable quality.
And that is everything! I hope you enjoyed it and found it useful! As I mentioned earlier these products were all gifts from Sleek but I was not paid to write this article. I'll be back later this week with more swatches and a new video!
